Group F
Argentina – Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)
Spent large chunks of the last term injured, but Aguero remains one of the finest goalscorers on the entire planet.
Bosnia and Herzegovina – Asmir Begovic (Stoke City)
Despite Edin Dzeko’s strong end to the campaign, the Bosnian that takes the place is Begovic due to the goalkeeper’s better consistency.
Iran – Ashkan Dejagh (Fulham)
Again the only player in the squad from the English top tier, although will be a Championship player next season unless he leaves Craven Cottage.
Nigeria – John Obi Mikel (Chelsea)
It was a toss up between Mikel and teammate Victor Moses and with a number of experienced names in their ranks the Nigerians could well surprise a few.
