The finest lineup from signings made this year.
It’s been perhaps the closest Premier League season to date and with just seven matches remaining for many sides there are still three realistic winners.
Whilst Manchester United have struggled to adapt to life after Sir Alex Ferguson, both Liverpool and Everton appear to be reveling under their new regimes.
New signings have once again played a big part on the outcome of many sides’ fate and here is the ultimate starting XI from purchases made in the 2013/14 campaign.
GK – Vito Mannone, Sunderland
Was third choice at Arsenal before Paolo Di Canio made a last ditch move for the Italian stopper to provide competition to Keiren Westwood in the wake of Simon Mignolet’s sale to Liverpool.
Yet Mannone has proven to be so much more than a useful backup as in a poor term for the Black Cats, the 26-year-old is now the undisputed No.1 at the Stadium of Light and has earned the side some much needed points at times.
