After an average previous season with City in 2012/13 there probably weren’t many overexcited Toffees fans when Barry was acquired on-loan on deadline day in the summer.
Yet under Roberto Martinez at Goodison Park the 33-year-old has been brilliant and now there are calls for Roy Hodgson to put the midfielder in his squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
