Who will fare better in 2013/14 between Neymar, Falcao and Cavani?
With Edinson Cavani on the verge of joining Paris Saint-Germain, arguably three of the four best South American strikers will be at new clubs this seasons, after Neymar joined Barcelona and AS Monaco signed Radamel Falcao.
Yet with over £150m likely to be spent on the trio, which South American star is going to make the biggest impact at their new club?
fanatix takes a look at the history and stats of Cavani, Falcao and Neymar to predict which side have made the best buy…
Edinson Cavani
Age: 26
Clubs: Danubio FC, Palermo, Napoli.
Price: £54m (release clause)
The powerful Uruguay international has been the subject of several transfer interests this summer, with Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City all eyeing the striker up before PSG jumped the queue and look set to get their man.
Cavani has an impressive record with current club Napoli, exploding onto the scene after competent spells with Palermo and Danubio back in the forward’s home country.
The forward has netted a colossal 104 goals in 138 matches for the Serie A runners-up and appears to be finding his peak at just the right moment.
Only 15 goals in 50 caps for Cavani on the international stage shows that his form hasn’t always been this good, but more than 20 goals in the last three Serie A seasons show the 26-year-old is no one year wonder either.
