The ‘Scottish Messi’ as he has been billed, is yet to feature for his new club, having only joined them last week, but the pedigree of the boy coupled with the exemplary record that the Portuguese club have for developing youth prospects. As Eric Dier will tell him, the club is a fine place to learn the game and Gauld should be applauded for his bravery for making the move at such a tender age.
