While the Red Devils struggle under new manager David Moyes, Rooney appears to have been reinvigorated by the forward’s former boss.
It was under Moyes that the 28-year-old initially shot to fame over a decade ago and now the England international seems to want to repay the favour with some outstanding displays.
If Rooney hadn’t been in such startling form then Moyes could be in even deeper trouble at Old Trafford.
