In the 80s and 90s this was Arsenal’s preferred tactic of choice and cries of “Boring, boring Arsenal” rang out at grounds across the country. Fast forward twenty years and it is now Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho taking the flak for doing something similar. Mourinho doesn’t do it often, but when he does he does it very well indeed. He will argue that because it is a results business, he will do whatever he needs to do, but is that worth sacrificing entertainment for?
