Mourinho may have played down their chances but the boss only has first place in his sights.
After beating Manchester City 0-1 on Sunday, Chelsea’s Premier League title credentials have been fully established – despite what Jose Mourinho may say.
The 51-year-old has been employing his legendary mind games to try and undermine both Arsenal and the Citizens, but the Blues are definitely among the favourites to regain the crown they last won in 2010.
If the west London club are to win the league, here are five players that will be absolutely vital.
Eden Hazard
The stand-out performer for the side this season and showed just what the Belgian can do when tearing apart City at the weekend.
Hazard appears to have the complete package; pace, skill and bags of confidence, and has been likened to Lionel Messi – not unfairly either.
If the 23-year-old can maintain the form that the attacking midfielder has produced over the past 18 months since arriving at Stamford Bridge, his influence could well make the difference.
