Upon arrival at Anfield in January 2011 the signing of the Uruguayan was somewhat overshadowed by the colossal £35m transfer of Andy Carroll.
Carroll has of course now left the club, but Suarez has simply grown in stature and a record of 28 goals in 26 games proves just how brilliant the 27-year-old is.
