-Unsurprisingly, the two top scoring teams in the Premier League have also created the most chances.
-Chelsea though have only created ten less chances than top scorers Liverpool, but scored 21 less goals, which perhaps justifies Jose Mourinho’s claims that he needs a new striker.
-Spurs are probably in a similar position, with summer signing Roberto Soldado having only scored once from open play all season despite the fact his side has created the fourth most chances in the country.
-Arsenal have apparently been clinical this season – or perhaps more likely, they’ve just taken their chances at the right time. The fact they’ve created nearly 60 less chances than Liverpool, but sit three points ahead of them in the table.
-Manchester United deserve to sit where they currently do in the table, judging by this statistic. Everton, Swansea and Newcastle have all created more chances than the Red Devils, which shows just how badly they need a creative midfielder in the summer.
