Form – The run-in does not fall favourably for Spurs, with them primarily facing top-four chasers and relegation candidates and every game – expect perhaps Southampton at home – is going to be a real battle.
Tottenham’s form has been a little erratic and the jibe that they are a one man team may have some credit, as they have struggled since the injury to Gareth Bale.
However, Bale should be back this weekend and if he can continue where he left off then Andre Villas Boas and his team could be relishing the prospect of Champions League football next season – something that may be necessary if they want to hold onto their Welsh superstar.
Players – Bale, Bale, Bale. That may seem a little harsh on the rest of the squad at White Hart Lane but it says more about the winger’s talent than the others’ lack of it.
AVB appears to have cocked up in January by not bringing in a striker, with Jermain Defoe injured and Emmanuel Adebayor failing to shine, but they do have a wealth of midfielders that include attack-minded players such as Clint Dempsey and Gylfi Sigurdsson.
Fanatix prediction – 4th.
