Cameroon earned some disapproving looks from the higher ups at FIFA when they took Sepp Blatter’s suggestions to sexualise women’s football further by donning these sleeveless basketball style jerseys for the 2002 African Cup of Nations.
However, despite protests from the Cameroonian FA and kit manufacturer Puma, FIFA sought to ban the use of the shirt for that year’s World Cup in Japan and Korea.
