Hayden is an 18-year-old centre-back who has been capped at every national youth level up to the under-19s.
The defender can also operate as a defensive or holding midfielder and so far this term has provided two assists in the Premier League’s under-21s competition.
Akpom is the more fancied of the pair to break into the senior team in the near future and the 17-year-old has in fact made a Premier League appearance from the bench this term, against Sunderland.
The striker has six goals in eight caps for the England under-19s and has also netted in the under-21s league.
Akpom’s pace means the teenager is capable of playing out wide as well and with the north London’s club’s lack of options in attack, there could well be more opportunities for the forward this season.
