3) Calum Chambers (Southampton)
If Wenger chooses to go for youth and future potential rather than the ability to slot seamlessly into the side right now, then Southampton full back Calum Chambers seems to be an option for the Frenchman.
Chambers is looking to follow in the footsteps of Luke Shaw, his fellow teenage Saints full back who recently sealed a move to Manchester United for a world record fee for a player of his age.
The presence of Nathaniel Clyne means that Chambers hasn’t been an unchallenged presence in the team at St. Mary’s, but when he has played he has looked like an exciting young player capable of coping with Premier League football.
