7. Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Paris Saint-Germain, 35 goals (30 Ligue 1, 3 Champions League, 2 Coupe de France)
Ibrahimovic has had a career filled with goals for some of Europe’s elite and a switch to PSG didn’t halt the Swede’s eye for goal.
The 31-year-old scored 30 league goals to help the Parisians to their first Ligue 1 title in 17 years.
6. Robert Lewandowski – Borussia Dortmund, 36 goals (24 Bundesliga, 10 Champions League, 1 DFB Pokel, 1 German Supercup)
The 24-year-old has become hot property in European football after a truly outstanding season with the Champions League runners-up.
10 goals in that competition made Lewandowski the tournament’s second highest scorer – which included four against Real Madrid in the semi-final first-leg.
5. Wilfried Bony – Vitesse Arnhem, 37 goals (31 Eredivisie, 4 KNVB Baker, 2 Europa League qualifiers)
The first striker on the list to score more league goals than games played with the Ivorian netting 31 in the Netherlands top tier in 30 matches.
Bony has now become a club record signing for Premier League outfit Swansea City and the 24-year-old will be hoping to transfer the form to England.
4. Edinson Cavani – Napoli, 37 goals (29 Serie A, 7 Europa League, 1 Coppa Italia)
Cavani has been truly prolific for Napoli in the three years the Uruguayan has spent at the club and this form earned the 26-year-old a colossal £55m transfer to PSG this summer.
The forward was unsurprisingly the top-scorer in Italy last season and will now compete with another from this list, Ibrahimovic, at the Parc des Princes.
