1. AC Milan: Mario Balotelli – Stephan El Shaarawy
As Balotelli continues his development into one of the finest players in the world, team-mate and compatriot El Shaarawy will be hoping to have recharged his batteries ahead of a new campaign.
The Italian international was a revelation in the first half of last season, leading the scoring charts in Serie A as he single-handedly dragged the Rossoneri towards to the top of the table.
While his dip coincided with Balotelli’s arrival in January, the pair have both the ability and time to forge a partnership on the pitch and could be a real force next season.
El Shaarawy returned to goal-scoring form in the Audi Cup clash with Manchester City on Wednesday, and both he and the club will hope it is a sign of things to come.
