With every passing second these playoffs, David West may as well be adding zeros to the end of his next contract from the Indiana Pacers.
West has helped transform a young and talented Pacers outfit in a tough and rugged one capable of banging bodies with the best teams in the East.
His experience on and off the court has helped shaped the likes of Paul George and Roy Hibbert into seasoned players beyond their years.
While he might be one-paced with his game at this stage of his career, reliability is never a bad thing for a coach.
Houston would love to add West to their line-up, but he should be in blue and gold for at lest the next two to three seasons.
Verdict: West is not heading west.
