As has happened so often in the tournament’s past the World Cup can make the careers of young players, as they have a huge audience to watch their talent.
So here are 10 youngsters aged 21-years-old or under who are set to impress at the competition in Brazil.
Thibaut Courtois – Atletico Madrid (on-loan from Chelsea) and Belgium – 21
Having qualified for their first World Cup since 2002 many are picking the Belgians as their dark horses to do well in the tournament.
With players such as this extremely talented goalkeeper at their disposal it’s easy to see why that is being said, as despite still being just 21-years-old Courtois is already among the best stoppers in the game.
