Henry has made no bones about his desire to one day move into management after calling time on a wildly successful playing career last year, with ex-teammate Robert Pires even backing him to one day take over from Arsene Wenger.
The 37-year-old will now undertake his badges whilst working with the young Gunners, and the role will be seen as a major coup for both club and player.
Henry has already spent some time with the Welsh national side, where he took his UEFA B licence alongside Osian Roberts.
He ran the rule over a Welsh under-16 game, and will now take up the chance to hone his skills at the same academy that produced the likes of Jack Wilshere.
