The junior Hazard joined the Blues over the same summer as his brother, Eden, though he was quickly sent out on loan to Belgian outfit Zulte Waregem for the following two seasons.
His form in his homeland earned him a loan move to Monchengladbach over the summer and he has gone on to excel for the Bundesliga outfit, scoring four goals and creating seven assists in 21 appearances.
Gladbach’s Max Erbel told the German tabloid: “I’ve had a nice talk with Chelsea. Thorgan is a good kid and he does very well. We’re going to see what is possible.”
