Those that did well and those that didn’t in a week where Manchester United lost again.
There were some great performances and surprise results over the Premier League weekend, as Chelsea and Manchester United both slumped to defeat.
However, down the bottom victories for both Crystal Palace and Fulham boosts their respective survival chances and Newcastle United are now the most in form team in the division.
Here are the three biggest winners and losers.
Winners
Roberto Martinez
The Everton boss is going from strength to strength and after beating reigning champions United midweek, the Toffees did the unthinkable by outplaying Arsenal at their own passing game.
A dominant first half performance from the Merseysiders was impressive and spearheaded by young talent Ross Barkley, with the visitors unlucky not to take all three points.
Newcastle
It’s now five wins from six matches for the Magpies, as Alan Pardew’s side beat the Red Devils at Old Trafford thanks to a strike from Yohan Cabaye.
It means the north east side are right up near the Champions League places and a repeat of their fifth place finish from two seasons ago is not out of the question.
Luis Suarez
There seems to be no stopping this talented forward of late, as in a 4-1 rout of West Ham United the 26-year-old netted again and provided two assists.
Suarez now has 14 league goals in just 10 matches and could be the catalyst for a Champions League return for the Reds.
