After Tim Tebow led the Denver Broncos to an overtime playoff win over Pittsburgh, many believed that he had finally found his foothold in the league as an NFL QB and had a future in the league at that position.
One year on, and he is likely to be out of the NFL altogether, after a disastrous season with the New York Jets.
Being used sparingly in the offensive game plan and being the personal protector on punts, it was clear very early that the Jets regretted the trade and just had to use him in any way possible.
So, Tebow is now back on the trade block and with no other teams wanting him, the 25-year-old’s release seems inevitable. Unless a team takes a chance on Tebow and sign him to a minimum pay salary, he could be out of a job.
However, he does have one option already, and that is to join Arena Football team Orlando Predators. Arena Football is a 7-on-7 version game, played indoors. While it may not be the cream of American Football talent, nor pay as well, it is a good way for prospective NFL players to stay in shape, and playing the game; just ask Kurt Warner.
Tebow could flourish in this version of the game, and give him a second shot in the league, whether it comes to that is still up in the air. It would be a good move for the young player, if he wants to seriously prove himself.
