Tottenham Hotspur are readying an opening offer for Stuttgart striker Timo Werner, according to the Metro.
Mauricio Pochettino is set to get the bidding underway, but will face competition from Premier League rivals Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund for his signature.
Pochettino is keen to lure the teen to White Hart Lane and add fresh competition to first-choice centre-forward Harry Kane next season.
Tottenham are expected to offload Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado this summer, which could leave the north London outfit worryingly short of options in attack – and Werner is said to be at the top of their transfer wish list.
According to the Telegraph, Werner carries a price-tag of £8m.
