@paulwardley77 But we do have better contacts than anyone else. Visa would not be an issue to Salford

It did not take long for rumours to start about where disgraced Cronulla Sharks star Todd Carney would next be signed.
With any NRL side seemingly at long odds of signing Carney, after he was sacked from the third club in the competition today, the Salford Red Devils in the English Super League have been floated as a possible new home for the 28-year-old.
There are suggestions that the now infamous urination photo was staged so Carney would get sacked from the Sharks and then link with his former coach Shane Flanagan who is currently in charge of the Red Devils.
Rumour has it that Flanagan does not want to come back and coach a Sharks side that could be wiped out by bans set down by ASADA.
As a result, Carney has tried to get himself sacked for off-field incidents in recent weeks and when they failed to work, set up the photo in a bid to ensure he could sign with the Super League club for a rich contract, with the Red Devils not having to pay the Sharks for any compensation.
