Perhaps not a problem entirely of Cleverley’s making given the going market rates in football that now even the most mildly talented can command quite eye-watering wages.
But for a reported £70,000 per-week, a team like Arsenal would be demanding so, so much more from their player than the paltry return and contribution a player like Cleverley would no doubt make if he moved to the Emirates.
