The loyal wife of Chelsea’s most loyal player had a good night on Monday.
Toni Terry, who married Blues skipper John Terry in 2007, was out in London’s Hyde Park celebrating her husband’s 35th birthday.
During the couple’s trip to Christmas theme park Winter Wonderland, Toni, who is just a couple of years younger than John, was asked for identification to prove that she was old enough to purchase mulled wine.
The legal age to purchase alcohol in the UK is 18, so it is very unusual for a woman in her mid 30s to be asked for ID. Toni was understandably flattered.
Later on, John uploaded a selfie video to Instagram to thank his fans for their kind birthday wishes.
During the video message, John told the story of Toni’s ID request and said she was “buzzing”.
Stamford Bridge is likely to be buzzing on Wednesday night when Chelsea host Porto in the Champions League.
Chelsea need to avoid defeat in order to qualify for the knockout phases.
However, following Saturday’s 1-0 home loss to Bournemouth in the Premier League, confidence will be far from high.
