Steve Howe – MLB
Steve Howe was a left-handed pitcher for the L.A. Dodgers and the N.Y. Yankees. He won Rookie of the Year in 1980 and was an All-Star in 1982. Unfortunately, his problems with cocaine and alcohol hampered his development.
He played 12 seasons over 17 years, but never reached the level of play from his first few. In 2006 Howe was found dead when his pickup truck flipped in Coachella, CA. Methamphetamine was found in his bloodstream.
