Roy Tarpley – NBA

Tarpley was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in 1986. He made the NBA All-Rookie Team that year and his potential was limitless. He was expelled from the NBA in 1991 due to failed drug tests. He was allowed to return briefly in 1994, but violated the teams’ alcohol abuse rules.

Tarpley went on to have a great career playing basketball in Europe.
