1. Shane Warne’s Ball of the Century
Shane Warne finished his career with more Test wickets than any other bowler but the Australian came to be defined by his very first ball – widely know as the Ball of the Century.
A 22-year-old Warne bowled the perfect hard-spun leg-break to dismiss Mike Gatting, 12 years his senior, on the third day of the Old Trafford Test in 1993. Nearly 20 years and 10,693 deliveries from Warne later, it remains his most famous bowl. A legend was born.
