3. Don Bradman’s 334 at Headingley
On his first trip to England, legendary Aussie Don Bradman made the highest Test score at the time with a brutal knock of 334 at Headingley in 1930. With the series score tied at 1-1, Bradman became only the third cricketer to make a century before lunch on day one and he departed for tea on 219, smashing 30 boundaries in the process. When he was finally caught out off Maurice Tate’s bowling, he’d amassed 334 in 383 minutes and 448 balls.
Australia went on to win the series 2-1.
