While Paul George might grab most of the headlines for the Indiana Pacers this season, Roy Hibbert is another very important reason why the team has got off its amazing start in 2013-14.
Standing 7ft 2in, Hibbert has the length and the girth to change the course of a game, especially against a weak Eastern conference this season and a Miami side that looked to get bigger through free-agency this past off-season – a sure sign they are worried about Hibbert in a, likely, conference battle.
Hibbert has publicly stated he is looking to earn the defensive player of the year trophy this year, and he has made a good start to it, averaging an amazing 3.8 blocks a game, double his career average.
