On his day, Dwight Howard is still the best centre in the NBA today.
But those days have been few and far between over the past two years as he has battled issues on and off the court first in Orlando and last year, disastrously, in Los Angeles with the Lakers.
Now Howard is fight and apparently happy in Houston so there are no more excuses for the 27-year-old, who should be entering the prime of his career.
The biggest obstacle for him to clear in order to be crowned the best big man in the past 10 years, is his post game and his moves on the block.
But with Hall-of-Fame player Kevin McHale now his coach, Howard has the chance to push towards a title that will see him go from great to elite.
