8. Courtney Walsh – West Indies
Forming a deadly combination with Curtley Ambrose, West Indian great Courtney Walsh went on to forge his own name as one of the best bowlers in the history of Test cricket.
Using his height to his full advantage, Walsh was able to get ball pitched on a decent length to rise sharply, with the right-armer thriving on pitches in the Caribbean and in Australia, where he made life more than difficult from the home side on a number of occasions.
But he was able to take wickets on green pitches as well, with his seam movement also seeing him earn hauls of wickets in England.
In all, Walsh earned 519 wickets at an average of 24.44 with an innings best haul of 7-37 and match best figures of 13-55.
