Nicknamed ‘Baby Jordan’ for a reason, Harold Miner’s efforts in 1993 might have just saved the Dunk Contest as a spectacle in the NBA.
With the event languishing for a number of years due to the biggest names in the league sitting out for fear of injury, Miner turned on a performance that would get people excited about seeing the peak of the sport go at it.
In ’93 his winning effort was a powerful reverse clutch dunk that was thrown down with force and flair, while the the Miami star won his second title in 1995 when he defeated Minnesota’s Isaiah Rider in the final.
