1. Kevin Love – Minnesota Timberwolves
If you need further proof of how good a player Kevin Love is, go away and look at the Minnesota Timberwolves last year and this year and compare them.
Yeah, he’s that good.
Love’s 2012-13 season was curtailed largely by a hand injury that limited him to only 18 games, Love has come back with a vengeance.
Displaying the kind of numbers that should make his a smokey for MVP this season, Love is pouring in 24.3 points a game, pulling in 13.9 rebounds while averaging a career-high in assists 4.3 and steals 0.9.
But what makes Love different, apart from his post game and his uncanny knack on the boards is his ability to step outside the paint from mid and long range.
Love, alongside Nowitzki, has turned himself into one of the few men over 6ft 10in, who can kill teams from beyond the arc on a regular basis.
As a result, he is a pick your poison kind of player, mark up close and he will get to the rim, sag off and his will launch from downtown.
And he is one of, if not the main reason, why the Timberwolves could be making a deep playoff run this season.
