5. Blake Griffin – Los Angeles Clippers
We have all seen the dunks and the alley-oops, but the NBA is more than just creating highlight plays.
Although Griffin is one of the best in recent year at doing just that, he is judged on more than how high he can jump on his way to the rack.
Often in the past, the main criticism of Griffin is his lack of a jump shot and a post-game, but there are signs this is changing.
Griffin so far this season is averaging 21.6 points per game, 10.9 rebounds at a rate of 54 per cent from the floor, all of which suggest Griffin is becoming more than a dunk-bot, but there is still work to be done.
Defensively the 24-year-old will need to keep improving along with his sucess from the free-throw long, which at only in the mid 60 per cent range, is not good enough to make teams pay for when he is hacked on the way to the rim.
