6. Jurgen Klinsmann
The German was immensely unpopular when he arrived at White Hart Lane in 1994 but soon won around fans and pundits with his brilliant displays on the pitch, and surprisingly excellent sense of humour. After bagging 21 league goals in a season, Klinsmann was lured to German giants Bayern Munich but returned to Spurs on loan in 1997/98 season, where his nine league goals in 15 appearances, including four in the final day win over Wimbledon, helped save the club from relegation.
