4. Peter Crouch
Journeyman Crouch has actually played for two clubs twice, having started his career as a trainee at Tottenham before returning under Harry Redknapp. But it is at Portsmouth that Crouch had his most successful reunion; after scoring 18 league goals in 37 starts, Crouch left Pompey in 2001, only to return under Redknapp in 2008 for £11m. The beanpole striker found the net 16 times in one season for the FA Cup winners, persuading Redknapp to cough up another £10m for him when the ‘Wheeler Dealer’ move to London the following season.
