5. Nabil Bentaleb (Tottenham)
Despite having never made a senior appearance before his surprise debut in last month’s win at Southampton, 19-year-old Bentaleb looks right at home in the Spurs midfield already. The French-Algerian has established himself as a regular starter under Tim Sherwood – ahead of the likes of Lewis Holtby and Etienne Capoue – and is a modern midfielder, who can pass, shoot and tackle as well as cover plenty of ground.
Bentaleb could still turn out to be another Jamie O’Hara but the early signs are promising.
