Hansie Cronje
In 2000 South Africa cricket captain Cronje was found guilty of match-fixing alongside Sanjay Chawla from an Indian betting syndicate.
The revelation rocked the sport and the South African was banned from playing or coaching cricket for life. Cronje tragically died in a plane crash in 2002.
