The Catalan giants currently hold the Spanish title, although it looks like they’ll miss out on it this term to either Real or Atletico Madrid. Their wage bill won’t be growing dramatically any time soon, as they’re banned from signing players for two transfer windows.

Sheik Mansur’s Abu Dhabi Group bought City in 2008, and have invested so heavily in the side that the club now spend more on wages than any other football club. On top of this, they spend more than any mega US sport franchise, including the New York Yankees.
