Another defensive option that Manchester United are believed to be considering is Matthias Ginter, although he has indicated that his preference would be for a move within the Bundesliga to Borussia Dortmund. 20 year-old centre back Ginter has made a big impression with his club SC Freiburg, a team who have developed something of a reputation within Germany for being particularly proficient at bringing through talented young footballers.
