Villa sought to bring in more competition to their midfield by landing the United star on a season long loan, and in many ways he’s playing for his future. Out of contract at the end of the season he will need to show what he’s made of in the Midlands, though he faces a task breaking ahead of Villa’s midfield duo of Fabian Delph and Ashley Westwood.
