8) Luis Suarez – 50 goals in 86 matches
The Uruguayan initially struggled to fill his impressive performances with goals, but now – he’s relentless. This season alone, the forward’s bagged 23 in 18 starts, and is a strong favourite to be awarded the Player of the Year crown.
=6) Thierry Henry & Kevin Phillips – 50 goals in 83 matches
The only surprise is perhaps that Henry isn’t higher on this list, but it’s easy to forget that he wasn’t prolific during his first season in England. It didn’t take long however, and the Frenchman eventually found his feet, establishing himself as an all-time great in no time whatsoever. Phillips, on the other hand, scored 30 Premier league goals during his first full season in the top flight with Sunderland.
