Manchester United had been tipped to complete a £25m move for the Saints star this week, but further reports have suggested that the Red Devils have cooled their interest in the box-to-box midfielder.
United’s pursuit of Bayern Munich’s Bastian Schweinsteiger means that there may yet be hope for North London duo Arsenal and Tottenham, both of whom have been keen on Schneiderlin since last summer.
