6) Fabio Coentrao – Real Madrid – the Express
The Portuguese left-back, who once cost Real Madrid £25m, would be a fantastic addition for Liverpool. With Jose Enrique suffering from a long-term injury, Rodgers has only John Flanagan and Aly Cissokho to choose from – neither of whom are top-four quality. Coentrao has Champions League experience, and provides a real attacking outlet up the left flank. Even if the Reds can snap him up on loan, their top four ambitions will be strengthened.
