Sir Bobby Charlton is the all time leading goalscorer for both Manchester United and England – although Wayne Rooney stands a chance of taking both before his career is out.
The Munich air disaster survivor has also played the second most games for the Red Devils in their history, with only Ryan Giggs having turned out for the club more often.
Charlton was instrumental in Manchester United reaching the European Cup final ten years after the aforementioned horror plane crash, and scored twice as he captained his side to an emotional 4-1 victory at Wembley.
