7. Arsenal
Chances created: 262
Chances converted into goals: 37
Chance conversion: 14.1%
Arsenal don’t create as many chances as their title rivals Manchester City and Chelsea, but no other team has a better chance conversion in this list.
The Gunners have long been renowned for a tendency to overplay things, but this season they are playing patient football, creating scorable chances and putting them away.
Manager Arsene Wenger has spoken of his team’s ability to wear down teams with their rotation of possession in dangerous areas, and record signing Mesut Ozil has been a huge influence in that.
Only David Silva has completed more passes in the final third than the Germany international, and Ozil is also second in the charts for setting up shots.
Finally, Arsenal are far more confident this season in their defence. No longer are the Gunners giving away needless goals through sloppy mistakes, and they have kept the most clean sheets in the Premier League this term.
Wenger’s players know when a match is won and when to shut a game down, and the Emirates Stadium has developed into a real fortress over the course of the campaign.
