The Italian may have only netted six times this season but he specialises in big goals in big games. Gus Poyet’s Sunderland are precariously placed in 18th and face the toughest run-in of all the bottom seven, including trips to Tottenham, Liverpool, Chelsea and Man United, and six-pointers against Crystal Palace and Cardiff. If the Black Cats are to complete an impressive survival, they will need goals and Liverpool loanee Borini may be the man to provide.
