4. Luke Shaw, Southampton to Manchester United (£30m)
We may never figure out why Luke Shaw was seen as more valuable than Wayne Rooney, but a stellar three-year career at Southampton made Shaw more than worth the risk to the Red Devils last season. Though he has been compared to Real Madrid megastar Gareth Bale, Shaw has yet to show it on the field and the jury is still out on whether he’ll earn the money Man United spent on him.
3. Rio Ferdinand, Leeds United to Manchester United (£30m)
A record-setting transfer that won SIX Premier League titles with Man United from 2002 to 2014, Ferdinand may one of the most expensive names on the list but he is undoubtedly the biggest steal. The defensive ace made 5 Premier League Team of the Year squads and earned the Man United captain armband from 2010 to 2011.
